Informational imaging, not a diagnosis
Quantum Breast Imaging provides QT (Quantitative Transmission) ultrasound imaging as an informational breast imaging service. The imaging and any observations are reviewed by a licensed radiologist, but the service does not by itself diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, including breast cancer.
Not a replacement for mammography or clinical care
QT breast imaging is intended to complement, not replace, mammography, clinical breast exams, or other imaging and care recommended by your healthcare provider. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified provider with any questions about your breast health, and never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of information provided here.
Discuss your imaging plan with your provider
Every patient’s needs are different. The right combination and frequency of breast imaging depends on your personal and family history, risk factors, breast density, and your provider’s guidance. We recommend discussing whether and how QT imaging fits into your overall breast health plan with your healthcare provider.
Eligibility and safety
There are eligibility guidelines and contraindications for the QT scan, including limits related to weight, breast size, pacemakers and implanted electronic devices, certain allergies, and pregnancy. Regulatory information
The QTscan system used in our clinic is manufactured by QT Imaging. Regulatory clearances and designations described on this site refer to the device and its manufacturer. If you have questions about the device’s regulatory status, we are happy to help you find current information from the manufacturer.
Results and communication
Your images are interpreted by a licensed radiologist trained in QT imaging, and results are delivered securely through our patient communication process. If you have an urgent concern about your health, contact your physician or seek emergency care; do not wait for imaging results.
